So I bought the pair or rubber slips to pick up BB in the back yard and on the field. The rubber slip cover goes on tight but it does slowly begin to curl over the edge of the PVC pipe. It still works decent enough, although sometimes the ball gets hung up in the flared PVC pipe.
The drawbacks: the PVC pipe is considerably heavier than I expected which means it’s portable but not convenient. The kit does not come with side handles to install on the pvc pipe, which would’ve been the second part of the kit I’d expect so that I can get a sure grip when hammering down on the BB to pick it up.
Overall, it’s a good idea, but lacks practicality in application.
I think a rolling pecan sheller would be a better tool to pick up baseballs. Those are about double the price but much more practical as there is not as much time wasted freeing up a stuck ball or having to take a few different stabs at picking up the baseball.
If they start including a pair of side handles to install on the pvc, then it might be worth the price paid.

Time and back saver!
The tool works perfectly and I suggest buying two if you are working with younger players as they finally love helping shag and pick up!

Great idea!
I thought it was a great idea, so I bought my husband and my son in law one because they are both coaches for little league baseball. They haven't used them yet. But I thought it was GREAT!

Back saver!
I deal with several bulging/herniated disc's in my back. So when I through to my son or his friends or team this allows me to be able to speed the process up. Game nights the kids hit in the cages with me then run out to the field to start stretching and throwing. So after five or six batters the kids are gone doing other stuff. That makes it a little more difficult for me. Now that I have the Pick'em up tool it is way easier!

Must have for all coaches!
I bought two and I had everyone in the batting cage facility looking my way as they were doubled over grabbing hit balls! Total game changer!
