TR90 material was produced through Swiss technology as a thermoplastic material that is incredibly durable, flexible, and lightweight. Glasses made with TR90 are extremely comfortable because they have a flexible quality. Because the material is pliable, they are far less likely to break or bend from impact.

This was my son’s second pair of Velo Shades. He loved his first pair of the Cotton Candy Change Ups but they broke during a game after a couple of tournaments. We used the warranty and got a replacement pair in a different color (cotton candy was sold out) and the second pair lasted 5 innings of his first game with them. He plays short stop and they broke when he hit the ground diving for a ball. He really loves Velo shades but I wish they used a better plastic.

I personally think these glasses are a bit overpriced for what they are, but my son absolutely loves them. So far they have worked out well for him. He wore them for his last few baseball games. We will see how they hold up over the rest of summer.
My son is 13yo and about 5’2”. He chose the youth size based on the details, and he found them to be too tight. So he returned them. He was out 2 shipping charges and no glasses. They were kind to send a discount for another pair, but we were still out the 2 shipping charges. We don’t want to risk 2 more shipping charges and still not be content with the fit of the glasses. I appreciated their kind email communication, and I heard back the next business day. Other than the fit, my son liked the glasses.
